Terra Infirma
The Modern Alchemists are excited to present An exhibition of new 3d paintings by Arron Kuiper.
Arron is a Welsh artist based in Cardiff and is pioneering a revolutionary new technique of three dimensional painting that he has coined 'Gel'.
Gel is a technique utilising the chemical properties of oil paint and hydrogel to produce a three-dimensional painting inside a transparent vessel. The paint is implanted into the gel and remains exactly where it is placed, as if one were able to create forms from brushstrokes in mid-air.
Come along and visit this unique exhibtion opening on Wednesday 5th Febuary @ 7pm.

Modern Alchemists Presents Draw.
Modern Alchemists Presents Draw.
The exhibition brings together a small collective of artists from the Cardiff School of Art and Design and shows the variety and potential of the practice of drawing. This includes mixed media, stitch and performative drawing.
A dictionary definition of draw is simply to produce an image by making lines and marks. Draw is an exhibition celebrating and exploring the medium of drawing. Drawing is used as both an academic discipline and an interdisciplinary tool and artists are constantly challenging and extending its boundaries and potential.
Exhibiting artists: James Acott-Davies, James Cocks, Holly Cook, Olivia Gregory, Sam Heath, Tiffany Howe, Maya Holthuis van Houben, Naomi Morgan, Beth Morris and Nicola Snowdon.
